Account Manager Dhiren appears on live TV with Ant & Dec
If you enjoy your Saturday night TV you may have seen one of our Account Managers, Dhiren Varand on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway in September. Dhiren was set up by his housemate to ride the Jiggy Bank for the chance to win up to £5,000! We caught up with Dhiren in the office for a quick chat.
Q: So how did your Jiggy Bank surprise come about?
"I was supposed to be going out with my friends that evening, to be honest I didn't want to but I was forced out. I thought we were going for a quiet drink down the local. We were standing outside a television shop; I think I was being a bit gullible. My mate went to find some friends and I was left on my own. Ant and Dec appeared on the TV's behind me and I thought I would watch it while I was waiting. They were talking and suddenly shouting my name and I didn't know what was going on. Then a guy in a big pink costume appeared beside me with a camera.
Q: How did you feel when you were surprised by Ant and Dec?
I was completely shocked! I couldn't believe it, that they were saying my name on live TV. It was just amazing!
Q: Was it difficult to control the pig?
It was quiet hard and obviously you are not prepared for something like that. I had tight jeans on and uncomfortable shoes. I got a few injuries! But it was a great experience.
Q: What will you spend your winnings on?
I have already spent it! Only joking, on a variety of things, treat the office maybe and have a few good nights out.
Q: How would you sum up this experience?
Fantastic, a once in a lifetime opportunity. A great experience!
