In each issue of intouch we put one of our users in the Clarity hotseat and find out a little bit more about them. In this edition we would like to introduce you to Allan Stephenson, Managing Director of Signworld.

Q. Good Afternoon Allan. What type of products and services do Signworld offer?

A. Neon & LED illuminated signage, corporate retail fascias, stainless steel fabrication & lettering, totem signage, corporate rebranding, directional & way finding signage, exhibition stands and signage, point of sale, construction signage, maintenance works, planning applications & consultancy, flags & flagpoles, work wear & uniforms.

Q. How many employees does Signworld have currently?

A. 20.


Q. How was your business operating before implementing a CRM / MIS system?

A. Signworld used paper costing templates which were difficult and time consuming to update and maintain.


Q. When looking for a system, what was it that convinced you that Clarity Professional was right for your business?

A. Having researched the options we decided on Clarity because it offered the flexibility we required. We are now able to update our supplier & cost information quickly, most importantly we are able to fully determine our profit margins on each project with precision and are able to ensure that all quotations submitted are the most up to date based on constantly updated information which in today’s climate is essential if we are to win the business. At the same time it really can be a useful aid in determining a customers integrity especially when that customer has suggested that they have a cheaper quotation in their possession from an alternative supplier, this tool quickly determines the position in terms of margin and whether the client is being straight with you.


Q. Since implementing Clarity, how have you found that it has improved your business?

A. Clarity has ensured that supplier information is continuously updated quickly and easily, sales have increased on account of the quotation template being uniformed, easier to read and understand by the customer. Signworld were also impressed with the greener issues of using clarity as almost all of our quotations are now emailed directly to the client saving valuable paper resources as well as costs on my business, simply brilliant as everyone wins.


Q. What advice would you give to someone interested in Clarity?

A. If you are serious about monitoring costs, maintaining margins and saving money whilst at the same time interested in having an easy referencing customer database which will at the click of a finger provide you with vital information on costs and margins then it’s a no brainer. Get smart get Clarity!
