Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence
Touch Systems celebrates two successful decades in business
Touch Systems started in 1989 to fulfil the needs of large assembly manufacturers who wanted to efficiently monitor and improve quality. The founding
Directors developed 'Flags', a quality data collection system, using touch screen computers and was the first commercially available application of its type
in 1991, bringing total simplicity of data input for shop floor workers.
The company's initial customers were Komatsu Earth Movers and Land Rover Cars. In 1996 the first end-to-end production quality system was installed in Rover
(Cowley) and in 2001 development was started on a new software product - Clarity Professional. Launched a year later, Clarity quickly became successful,
meeting the growing needs of small businesses who had a desire to follow good business practices and quickly respond to their customers with accurately costed
professional quotations and win more profitable orders.
By 2006, Clarity's user base had grown to over 1,000 users. Now in 2009 we enjoy over 2,500 Clarity users,
and prestigious Flags customers including Bentley and Aston Martin. Touch Systems have moved to brand new state of the art offices in Solihull and are pleased to be
expanding all areas of the business with some exciting new products.
The 20th birthday celebrations kicked off with a gathering of the team at The Oak restaurant in Solihull for a wonderful night of champagne, food, wine, conversation
and memories, well done team!

the way, and steady growth has kept us in a strong position over the years, we have never recorded a loss! Even though we are in a recession this is such an exciting
time for us as we have a great team in place and we are poised to fly as markets pick up. The key to our success has been our customer care and over the next 3 years
we plan to grow our customer base further with exciting new product development."
