What IT Systems Do I Need to Get Up and Running with Clarity?

One of the benefits of Clarity Software is its flexibility to run on a wide range of PCs and Servers.

Here you can find out exactly what IT infrastructure your business requires to successfully run Clarity and get the maximum return from your software investment.

Minimum Recommended Client Machine Specification

• Intel Pentium (or compatible) 1.8ghz processor
• Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or 7 (Home Premium or above) 32 or 64bit
• 1GB of RAM
• 1GB of available hard-disk space
• 1280x800px screen resolution
• Access to local or network printer
• An internet connection on at least one client machine.

Note: There is currently no Clarity installer for Apple Mac, however we have many customers who run their Clarity system on Macs using Parallels.

Minimum Recommended Server Specification

The Clarity database is installed alongside the client software for single-user and smaller system. Larger multi-user systems (10+ users) require the Clarity database to be installed on a dedicated server machine:-

• Intel Pentium (or compatible) 2.8ghz processor
• Microsoft Windows XP to Server 2008
• 4GB of RAM
• 20GB of available hard-disk space
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 to 2008 R2.

Third Party Software Integration

• Microsoft Office 2000 onwards (32-bit versions only)
• Internet Explorer 7 and above, Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari
• Sage 50 Accounts v8 to 2012
• Sage Instant Accounts 2009 to 2012
• QuickBooks Accounts 2006, 2007, 2010 & 2011
• Sage ACT! v7,8 & 2010.
